I get asked this question a lot by some of my clients and at workshops. The answer isn’t so black and white; it depends. Things to consider when developing your Twitter strategy:
- What do you ultimately want to achieve?
- How many niche groups or potential communities are under your overall brand identity?
- Do those segmented groups have frequent and relevant content?
- Would people participate and benefit from being in those segmented groups?
- Does the amount of people justify your company having multiple accounts?
- Do you have the manpower to pull it all off?
Take a look at come companies that have done this really well
Dell has more than 80 different Twitter accounts. Keep in mind the scale of the company and its customers.
